Mac Barney

Dr. McLloyd “Mac” Barney, 73, passed away July 2, 2018 in Las Vegas. He was born October 25, 1944 in Richfield, Utah to Loid and Susie Eliza Lambert Barney.  He married Marianne Olivia Sala, June 1, 1968 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Mac practiced dentistry for 45 years. He was actively involved in the LDS Church as a bishop, High Priest group leader, Elders Quorum president, scout leader, stake mission leader, Sunday School teacher, seminary teacher, priest advisor, temple worker and dedicated home teacher. He loved the gospel immensely. His children and grandchildren were the joy of his life and he spent his life serving them.
Mac is survived by his wife, Olivia; children: Anthony Loyd (Kassi) Barney, Las Vegas, NV; Kevin Dale (Jennifer) Barney, Island Park, ID; Rochelle Marie Barney, Tiffany Sue Barney, and Brett Phillip (Shalae) Barney, all of Las Vegas, NV; Kimberly Ann (Michael) Courtright, Denison, TX; 22 grandchildren; sister, Janet Brox, Washington, UT.
Preceded in death by his parents; son, Jared Lane Barney; sister, Wilma Brox.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. (Nevada time) in the LDS Ward Chapel located at 6051 Dorrell Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89131. Friends may call from 9:00 - 9:30 a.m.  Burial will be at 6 p.m. (Utah time) in the Elsinore, Utah Cemetery.
