Jesse Vincent Lund

September 11, 1976 — March 17, 2022

Jesse Lund
Salina, Utah

On a bright, early spring afternoon, Jesse, left this world and left a gigantic hole in the hearts of his family and friends. On Thursday, March 17, 2022, Jesse, age 45, passed at his home in Salina, surrounded by family, after a courageous and valiant battle with brain cancer.

Jesse Vincent Lund was born on September 11, 1976 in Richfield, to Garry and Glenda Barney Lund of Salina. Jesse was born with adventure and always lived life full throttle. From bicycles to motorcycles, horses to snowmobiles, Jesse was always on the go. Jesse graduated with the North Sevier High School class of 1995.  With a twinkle in his eyes and a winning smile on his face, Jesse soared into the hearts of everyone he met.  Jesse faithfully delivered a smile with every package working for UPS.

Jesse married Tia Bastian on July 26, 2008 in Richfield.  They welcomed Remi Jae in 2009.  Together they enjoyed trips to Lake Powell, harvesting the perfect Christmas tree, hunting and horse rides. They loved the mountains and desert and adventures all over Utah. They especially loved family time after snowmobiling into the cabin and Jesse’s beloved Henry Mountains. Jesse was proud of his heritage and loved working on the farm. Even as a young boy he would race to the door to meet his grandpa and help with chores. He developed a love for camping from his youth. Jesse’s journey included many fond memories made with his brother, sisters and parents, often showing his silly side. He was a wonderful son. He loved being with his cousins, uncles, and grandparents too. He loved his family.

Jess had a reputation for being a great hand, helping friends and family scout and fill their tags. He will be remembered for being loyal, fun, smart, and driven to be the best in all his endeavors. Jesse always had a plan and was meticulous about details. Everything was always taken care of and you were sure to have a great time when Jesser was there. He absolutely adored Remi and Tia and loved sharing his adventurous spirit with them. Jesse has countless friends made through his many hobbies and love of life. People were drawn to Jess and loved to be around him. He will be greatly missed.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Tia; daughter, Remi; and parents: Garry and Glenda; grandparents, Glen and Melva Barney, and Arva Lund; siblings: Nanette (Devin) Prisbrey and Hayley (Jason) Lewis; brother-in-law, Jeremy (Jalene) Bastian; and devoted companions, Dox and Ed.
