Gaylene “Gaye” Nielson LeFebvre, 66, of Manti, Utah passed away June 5, 2022 in Manti, on a beautiful Sunday afternoon with her family by her side.

Gaye was born February 11, 1956 in Salt Lake City to Eava Lyn Follett and Gaylon Nielson. She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from Granite High School. She went on to become a cosmetologist and was the successful business owner of Jungle Red Salon. She later went on to educating salon owners across the nation. She made many lasting friendships throughout her life and career.

Gaye married Jim Hewitt and together they had 2 sons: Waylon and Ryan. They later divorced. She met and fell in love with Randy LeFebvre and they were married on March 11, 1989. She gained another wonderful son, Brandon.

She was an amazing painter and spent many years painting alongside her mom. She loved to cook and entertain family and friends. She had a special place in her heart for the many pets she had throughout her life and loved tending to her hummingbirds.

Gaye is survived by her husband of 33 years, Randy; her children: Waylon (Tori) Hewitt, Ryan Hewitt, Brandon (Samra) Williams; 7 grandchildren who knew her as “Grandma Diva”; and sister Rebecca Nielson. She was preceded in death by her mom EavaLyn who passed just 6 months ago and her dad, Gaylon.

Gaye’s wishes were to cremated and to have her ashes spread by her family in a special place. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Cremation services to be held in the Magleby Mortuary Cremation Center. Memorial services will be held on June 17, 2022 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Veterans Pavilion, 295 West Volunteer Dr (950 South), Spanish Fork, UT.
