Harold Gramse

Our father and grandfather, Harold Eugene Gramse, age 86, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020, from causes incident to age. He was born February 23, 1934, in Perry, Kanas to Charles Arthur and Alice Lorean Gramse.
Harold lived most of his life in Sevier County, moving there shortly after his birth. He served in the Army during the Korean War in 1953 - 1954. When he returned from the war he married Jill Howard in 1955 and they were divorced in 1969. They moved to California before their first son was born, but returned to Sevier County in 1957. Together they had 2 sons, H. Kim and Kerry Jon.
Harold bought a small dairy farm in South Sevier that year and tried his hand at farming. Then in 1962 moved to Salt Lake where he started with the US Post Office. In 1969, he moved back to Richfield where he worked for the Post Office for another 30 years. Harold married Carol Reese in 1981 in the Manti Temple; divorced in 1997. Together, they had 3 sons Shelton, Craig, and Jason. He took pride in his boys and loved his family very much.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and bowling. Harold also had a local lawn care business that he did well into his 80's.
Harold, was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and took great pleasure in serving as a home teacher, ward financial clerk and other callings.
He is survived by his sister, Cheryl Madsen and bother, Ronald Gramse; his 5 sons: H. Kim (Betty) Gramse, Kerry Jon (Lisa) Gramse, Shelton (Katie) Gramse, Craig (Heather) Gramse, Jason (Lisa) Gramse; 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Maurine Gramse and Judy (Donald) Lott.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Max and Duane Gramse.
Due to COVID-19, private family funeral services will be held Friday, November 20, 2020 for the immediate family only. A public viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-7pm at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield. Social distancing and masks are required to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
