Donald "Don" Alvin Fjeldsted, 97, of Gunnison, passed away on July 8, 2014. He was born on July 12, 1917 in Centerfield, to Alvin and Elvena Anderson Fjeldsted.
Don graduated from Gunnison Valley High School and lived the majority of his life in the beautiful Gunnison Valley. Don served in the United State Army in the 942 nd Engineer Battalion. He loved farming and being in his quiet solitude.
Don is survived by his brother, Jay Arlo (Marion) Fjeldsted, South Jordan; 7 nephews and 2 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Boyd Fjeldsted.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 12:00 Noon in the Centerfield LDS Ward Chapel where friends may call from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Centerfield Cemetery with military honors by the Oliver-Russell American Legion Post #105 Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
