Wilma "Winx" Gunn Anderson passed away on April 24, 2016, at the Paramount Care Center in Salt Lake City, at the age of 92. Wilma was born on October 15, 1923 in Richfield, Utah, one of 8 children born to Frederick Horace and Wilhelmina "Winnie" Jensen Gunn. She graduated from Richfield High School in 1941 and later attended Utah State University, graduating with a degree in secretarial science. She married Hart M. Anderson in September of 1947. He preceded her in death November 8, 2003.
Wilma worked for the Union Pacific Railroad while her husband attended the University of Utah. After his graduation they moved to southern California where they resided most of their married life.
A happy person, Wilma had a close relationship with family and friends. Her warm, friendly manners and cute poetry were appreciated by all. She was a wonderful wife and mother. For the past several years she struggled with dementia and was confined to care centers both in California and Utah. She was a member of the LDS Church.
She is survived by her children: Brian Anderson, Patricia (David) Wheatly; several grandchildren; brother, Thomas Gunn.
Also preceded in death by her parents; son, Anthony Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, Richfield. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
