William Riley Murray, 88, passed away at his home in Richfield on April 26, 2022. He was born November 8, 1933 in Jensen, Utah to Andrew Hugh and Tressie Leora Dow Murray.

Growing up, Riley worked on the family ranch. He served in the army in the Korean War as a Costline Guard, stationed in Ankorage, AL. He was earned the rank of corporal, and was most proud of his accomplishments in the military.

Riley worked in the oil field industry in construction and a roustabout for many years.

Riley married his first wife, Karen Gardner. They had three children; later divorced.  He then married the love of his life, Eva Mae Hendricks. They had four children. They were married 61 years until his passing.

Riley and Eva moved to Richfield in 1992. They lived in Uintah county for over 30 years, where Riley owned several small businesses.

Riley is survived by his beautiful wife, Eva, Richfield; children: Christine (Dwight) Haycock, Escalante; William R Murray Jr., Roosevelt; Lewis Hugh (Sandra) Murray, Battlement Mesa, CO; Carlene (Jeff) Ludwick, Bremerton, WA; Krista (David) Atwood, Vernal; and sister: Ann (Dean) Merkley, Maeser. Riley had 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; sons: Floyd Murray, Ronald Murray; siblings: Eva Nuesmeyer, Austin Murray, Vern Murray; granddaughter, Brandy Kofford.

He will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, where friends may call from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held Tuesday, at 1:00 p.m. in the Gusher Cemetery with military honors.
