Our loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, William "Bill" LaVar Allred returned to his sweetheart at the age of 90 on February 19,2020 in Richfield. He was born in Spring City to Curtis and Mami Allred on October 13, 1929. He had three sisters and one brother. Married Maxine Collard, May 23, 1952. Marriage later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Maxine preceded him in death 29 years earlier. They raised three children: Deborah Christensen, Mike Allred, and Jerry Allred. He worked for Utah Power and Light as a lineman for 25 years .
Bill enjoyed serving in the Church up to his death. He spent time as a Manti Temple worker earlier in his life. He and Maxine served a local mission. Bill served time in the military and held numerous civic positions. He loved his family and friends dearly. Fishing and spending time with his grandchildren brought him his greatest joy.
He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 12:00 Noon in the Richfield 8th LDS Ward Chapel, 800 North 500 East. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. and at the ward chapel on Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery with military honors by the VFW Sevier Valley Post #5050 and Utah Army Honor Guard.
