Willda Brown

March 23, 1928 — October 29, 2013

Our sweet mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Willda Ingram Brown, passed from this life to be reunited with her sweetheart on October 29, 2013 at the age of 85 in Monroe.

She was born March 23, 1928 to William Edward and Eunice Mranda Twitchell Ingram in Cannonville. She married Leonal Garth Brown December 10, 1948 in Richfield and the marriage was solemnized March 15, 1957 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1995. Together they had one son, Kelly Leonal, who died 18 hours after birth. They then adopted two daughters that they cherished.

Mom was a hard worker but never held a formal job. Her most important job was keeping an immaculate home and yard and taking exceptional care of her husband and daughters. She was one of the wives that went with her husband traveling with road construction when she could. The summers were always spent as a family wherever Dad was working at the time. Mom loved to laugh, and found joy in her grandkids and great-grandkids that were perfect. She loved to visit with anyone and those who had the opportunity to visit with her knew all about her family when they were finished.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a strong testimony of her Savior. She was able to have both of her daughters sealed to her before her passing, a huge blessing she had wanted.

Willda is survived by her daughters, Lesa Gaye (Kelly) Blevins and Melissa (Bart) Lee; her grandchildren, Misty Lee (Reese) Summarell, Travis (Charlene) Avery and Jenna (Dennis) Carter; and her great-grandchildren Zach (JaCee), Jaden, Taya, Cheyanne, Bailey, Bodee, Shelby, Landon and Navi.

She is preceded in death by her husband; son; parents; brothers and sisters, William Orel Ingram, Eunice Lora Johnson, Sarah Ina Rappleye, Melda Melissa Haycock, Ruperta (Pert) Jensen and Orin Joseph Ingram.

The family extends their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Pope and his staff, hospice and to the Monroe Canyon Assisted Living Center staff and residents for the love, care and companionship given to our mother during these past many months.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 11:00 am at the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, Richfield. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Friday evening from 6-8 pm or Saturday morning from 9:30 – 10:30. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery
