Warren Frank Oldroyd, 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2011 at home in Glenwood, Utah.
Frank was born on November 10, 1928 to Arnold and Mary Marray Sorensen Oldroyd. Frank served an LDS mission in 1949 in the Southern States. He married his sweetheart, Julia Jensen, on the 6th of June 1952 in the Manti Temple.
The family lived in Evanston, Wyoming between 1964 and 1998 where Frank managed the Safeway grocery store for 28 years, he was later a successful business man for 16 years doing construction.
He and Julia later served at the Nauvoo Restoration Mission during the year of 1994 in Nauvoo, Illinois. He faithfully served many church callings as well as going above and beyond in his charitable services to his fellowman.
A dream was fulfilled when he and Julia moved back to Glenwood, Utah in 1998. They worked with love to restore the home of his youth. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Many of his most fond memories were those of trips with his sons, grandsons and friends.
Frank loved and was devoted to his family. His wife and children had the honor to surround him through his last hours of his valiant fight with cancer.
Frank was preceded in death by an infant son, Raymond Keith. He is survived by his wife Julia and his seven children; Annette O. France, Julia Kaye Davis, Cindy Dean, Warren Brent Oldroyd, William Frank Oldroyd, Farrell Lynn Oldroyd, Karen Oldroyd Ashby.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Glenwood LDS Ward Chapel, 225 East Center, Glenwood. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m., there will be no Wednesday morning viewing. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. Funeral Directors : Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
