W. Gordon Anderson

Wallace Gordon Anderson, 80, passed away December 28, 2012 in Richfield. He was born July 22, 1932 in Venice, Utah to Otto Fredrick and Vera Bell Christensen Anderson. He married Bonnie Burch, May 5, 1960, she preceded him in death May 31, 2007.

Gordon proudly served his country for over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. After retiring from the military he became the ultimate bum by driving cross country for Powder River Trucking and other trucking companies.

Gordon enjoyed riding his UTV and was a guide for the Rocky Mountain Jamboree. He was a member of the Southern Utah OHV Club and the ATV/UTV Club.

He also enjoyed fishing with his grandsons and spending time with all of his grandchildren.

He received a National Patriots medal for his participation in the NRA.

Survivors include his daughters, Debbie Gonzales of Marysvale, Cheryl (Ron) Zobell of Layton and Denice (Steven) Gunderson of Roy; grandchildren, Zachary Gonzales,Victoria Gonzales (Bo Hansen), Racheal (Blake) Crossley, Nathan Zobell, Samantha Gunderson, Steven J. Gunderson, Sydney Gunderson; brother, Kendon Anderson of Salem; sister, Velma Christensen of Toquerville.

Preceding him in death is his wife, Bonnie Anderson and a son Roni G. Anderson.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in the Magleby Mortuary, where friends may call on Wednesday from 11:30 to 12:30.

Interment will be on Friday, January 4 th at 3:00 p.m. in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to assist with funeral services
