Virginia Naomi Asay Ogden, 84, passed away September 25, 2012 in Monroe. She was born February 9, 1928 in Monroe to Joseph Lawrence and Nellie Barney Asay. She grew up in Monroe and graduated from South Sevier High School in 1946.

Virginia married Howard Joseph Ogden, May 28, 1946 in the Manti LDS Temple. They moved to Central Valley where they raised their four children. Virginia helped Howard on the farm. She also worked at Pacific Trails and Doves Market in Richfield. He preceded her in death January 16, 2009.

Virginia was a member of the LDS Church, where she held several positions. In August of 1991, Virginia and Howard were called to a full-time mission in the Toronto Canada Temple.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, and going on rides with Howard. She will be remembered for the many quilts she made and gave to family members.

Virginia is survived by her children: Dolores Stilson, Payson; Paul (Cindy) Ogden, Elsinore; Leslie Ogden, Central Valley; and DeLyle (Wendy) Ogden, Vernal; 16 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; sisters: Ilene Julander, Panguitch and Dona Williams, Henderson, NV.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; great-granddaughter, Alexandra Stilson; brothers, Joe (Ila) and Neal (Kathleen); brothers-in-law: Afton Julander, Wendall Allen and Paul Williams.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Central Valley Ward Chapel in Annabella, 89 North 100 East. Friends may call Friday evening from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, Richfield; and Saturday at the ward chapel from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.

The family wishes to express appreciation to the staff of Monroe Canyon Assisted Living and IHC Hospice for their kind and loving care of their mother.
