Vespa Torgerson Hatch, 80, passed away peacefully in her home in Koosharem on October 14, 2013

She was born October 15, 1932 in Monroe, Utah to William Leonard "Willy" and Audrey Hicks Torgerson. She married Donald Ray Kouns, they later divorced. She married Clifford Blaine Hatch, July 1, 1966 in Lindon, UT. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple, June 10, 1977.

Vespa was the most loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her children unconditionally and her grandchildren that much more.

She was a member of the LDS Church and so very faithful to her beliefs. She served in many callings in the Church, which she loved . She was a friend to everyone.

She was involved with the youth of Koosharem in her work at Sorenson’s Ranch. She always had a meal on the table for all and anyone who would stop by. She was always busy being the quilting grandma, making a baby blanket for everyone of her grand and great-grandchildren.

We love you to Heaven and back and will think of you every day.

Vespa is survived by her loving husband, of Koosharem; her four amazing children, Jeffery Ray (Becky) Kouns of Mona, Pamela Sue (Monte) Peterson of Monroe, Donald Bret Kouns and Clark Blaine Hatch, both of Koosharem; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and expecting 2 more; siblings, Jr. Torgerson of Richfield; Mavis (Glen) Wade of Magna, R.G. (Narda Rose) Torgerson of Koosharem, Jay G. (Diana) Torgerson of Denham Springs, LA.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Patricia Darlene Kouns; siblings, William "Bud" Torgerson, Georgia Jolley, Varda Nielson; sister-in-law, Shauna Torgerson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 1:00 p.m in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 or at the ward chapel in Koosharem on Friday from 11:00 to 12:30. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery.
