VerDon D Washburn, 84, of Monroe, passed away November 22, 2022 in Provo, Utah. He was born February 14, 1938 in Glenwood to Jesse Deleal and Deveda Oldroyd Washburn. He married SueAnn Warenski on May 13, 1957 in Ely, NV. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on July 14, 2012.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, VerDon held numerous callings. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and winters in Arizona. Worked most of his life as maintenance/heating and air conditioning in the VA Hosptial, the federal building and court houses in Salt Lake City.
VerDon is survived by his wife of 65 years, SueAnn; children: DonaSue (Bruce) Wallgren, Patricia (Jeff) Reesor, Brett (Donna) Washburn; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carole Washburn; brother-in-law, Robert Willden.
Preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Ivan Washburn, Twila Willden; granddaughter, Monica Wallgren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in the Monroe North Building, 49 East 200 North. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-7 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield, or Saturday morning at the ward chapel in Monroe from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
