Usher J Henrie

Usher Junior Henrie, 90, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on November 14, 2015 in Richfield. He was born May 11, 1925 in Panguitch to James Usher and Freeda Judd Henrie. He was the oldest of four children.
He was raised in Panguitch and spent many wonderful years herding sheep on "the ranch". He joined the US Navy in 1943 after high school graduation. He married Dorothy Riddle on January 3, 1947 in the Mesa Arizona Temple.
After he graduated with a degree in accounting from Utah State, they made their home and life together in Richfield. He first worked for Walter J. Tasker for 12 years, then he went to work for Whiting Motor Company for the next 27 years and became part owner. He retired in 1992 and enjoyed working in his garden and helping all the neighbors, especially the widows. He was most proud of his family and told them often.
Usher was an avid hunter and outdoors man. He loved to bowl and held a 297 score for over 20 years.
He was an active member of the LDS Church serving faithfully in his callings. He served 30 years as a ward clerk under five different bishops. He and Dorothy also served as service missionaries at Cove Fort
He is survived by his wife of Richfield; children: Raymond (Roma) Henrie, Antimony; Amber (Steve) Bendt, Kaysville; Bryant (Lana) Henrie, Draper; Robin (Dee Ann) Henrie, Richfield; Blenda Bench, Herriman; daughters-in-law: Karren (Byron) Allen, Richfield; Linda Henrie, Sandy; 25 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Fern Hughes, Salt Lake City; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Ann Henrie, Salt Lake City; Sharon Henrie, Morton, WA; Louise Henrie, Springville.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sons: James LaMawn and Randall Dee Henrie; brothers: Doug, Jim and Jed Henrie.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the Richfield 5 th LDS Ward Chapel, 800 North 400 East. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 or at the ward chapel on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery with military rites by the V.F.W Sevier Post #5050 and the U S. Navy Honor Guard.
