Tyler Walbeck
Richfield, Utah
Tyler James Walbeck, 42, passed away July 15, 2022 after a tragic automobile accident in Richfield, Utah. He was born June 3, 1980 in Logan, Utah to William Blake and Rebecca Gopp Walbeck.
Tyler moved quite a bit in his life, in fact he lived in two states, three towns, and four houses before his first birthday. From Sigurd, Utah to Lovell, Wyoming and many places in between; making countless friends and building relationships along the way. He recently returned to Richfield to care for his father. Tyler graduated from Richfield High School in 1998. He worked many different jobs including making construction materials with Georgia Pacific and working on local highways. Most recently working for Christensen Fire Arms.
Tyler married Melissa Hussy in 2005, later divorced. During his time in Lovell, Wyoming, he was in a committed relationship with Holli Thompson. They have a daughter together, TaiLyn Blake Walbeck. Tyler loved TiaLyn with all of his being. He worked to be the best father to her. They enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting in the Big Horn Mountains; as well as sharing a passion for the Greenbay Packers and animals, always having dogs or cats.
Where there was mischief, you would find Tyler. He was always on the go, especially outdoors. He was an avid gun collector and excellent marksman. Being a ‘Sigurd Boy’ was his motto over many years. Rolling tires during July holidays in Sigurd, working on demolition derby cars, and relaxing by a fire in the mountains with friends, were some of the high lights during that time. Tyler was also a 4-H member. He showed market lambs and hogs, winning many awards.
Tyler is survived by daughter, TaiLyn Blake, Lovell, WY; and a son, Spencer Hampton, American Fork, UT; father, Blake Walbeck; mother, Becky (Rick) Marchal; brothers, Travis and Bradley; nephew, Isaac (Collette); and niece, Alexis. Preceded in death by grandparents: Howard and June Walbeck, Lauren and Dortha Gopp; and stepmother Penny Walbeck.
He will be greatly missed by many friends and family, far and wide. May he no longer be plagued by the pain of a life long illness, hard work and hard play but hunt, fish and create mischief in heaven! Soar Tyler Soar!
