Twyla Anderson

Twyla Louise Westlund Anderson, 85, long-time resident of Gunnison quietly passed away on October 15, 2012 in Levan, Utah. Twyla was born July 1, 1927 to Hans Wilfred and Ruth Westlund. She was the youngest of four children.
At the end of World War II, she found her sweetheart when the boy next door returned from serving in the United States Army in the Pacific Theater. Twyla was married to Don Christian Anderson on June 12, 1946 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death March 12, 1987. Together, they had three children: Wesley (Gloria) Anderson, Tim (deceased), and Janet (Grant) Hansen. She has eight grandsons and 24 great-grandchildren, with twins on the way.
She was an immaculate housekeeper, a good cook, and loved a tidy yard. She served in several callings in the LDS Church and had a strong testimony. She was loved by her family and
will be missed.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Rhett; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hunter and Jake; brothers: "Wif", Clay and a sister, Rose.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gunnison Stake Center, 80 West Center where friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Gunnison Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
