Trudi Lynne Thomas Bailey
October 30, 1968-April 9, 2025

Trudi passed away peacefully from this life to the next in her home in Richfield on April 9, 2025.

She was born October 30, 1968 in Richfield, Utah to Billy and Carolyn Thomas. She was the third of five children, and the only daughter.

Trudi’s early years were largely spent in her parents’ store, Thomas Music, listening to music, dancing, helping to run the store, and teaching private vocal lessons. Trudi had a beautiful singing voice, and loved to share her talent with others. She loved singing with her mother, friends, and vocal students.

She has many fond memories in her youth of times spent being teased by her brothers and teasing them back. She loved spending time with her many good friends and her cousins. Trudi enjoyed her active life in high school, trying out for cheer and being on the drill team.

Trudi suffered many health struggles during her life. She was the recipient of a life-giving kidney transplant at the age of 12 from her mother, Carolyn Thomas. When this kidney later failed, she was able to get another amazing kidney transplant from a deceased donor. She was blessed with good health for many years with this kidney, which she had for 32 years until her death.

Trudi graduated from Richfield High School in 1987. She also earned an associates degree at Snow College in General Studies.

Trudi was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many capacities, including Stake Missionary, Primary Teacher, and Nursery Chorister.

Trudi married Andy Bailey on October 24, 1997 in the Manti Temple. Trudi loved the temple, and when healthy, served in the temple regularly.

The greatest joy of Trudi’s life was being a mother. Andy and Trudi adopted Jolie, Corbin, and Briauna. She was always very proud of the kids. As she battled health challenges, she often spoke of the kids as the inspiration that kept her fighting on.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Evan and Lillie Thomas and Heber and Grace Tobler. She leaves behind her husband, Andy Bailey and children, Jolie, Corbin, and Briauna Bailey, all Richfield; parents, Billy and Carolyn Thomas, Richfield; brothers, Tom (Lisa) Thomas, Richfield, Marty (Kari) Thomas, Richfield, Seth Thomas, Elsinore, and Robbie Thomas, Richfield; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and nephews.
