Troy Hawley

Richfield, Utah

Troy Kenneth Hawley, 47, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2014 in Richfield after a short illness. He was surrounded by his family who love him. Troy was born July 3, 1967 to Herb and Connie Nielson Hawley in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Troy spent his early childhood in Reno, Nevada where he formed strong friendships with his cousins, aunts, and uncles. He moved with his family to Littleton, Colorado in 1978 where he attended and graduated from Heritage High School. Troy attended Trinidad State Junior College in Trinidad, Colorado and Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma. He married Laura Robbins in 1991 and they had two children together, Tyler and Taylor. They were later divorced.

Troy grew up with a baseball in his hand. At the age of 10 years old, he pitched four no hitters during the competitive season. In the championship game, he pitched a perfect game, striking out all eighteen batters. He went on to excel in high school baseball and earned a full ride scholarship to two nationally ranked college baseball programs. Later in life, he also played on a nationally ranked softball team for a number of years.

Troy loved people and people loved him. His love for others was genuine and he cherished his many friendships. He had a gift of connecting with others. He used that gift to become a successful salesman in the award/trophy and automotive industries.

He is survived by his children: Tyler and Taylor Hawley, Claremore, OK; parents, Herb and Connie, Annabella; siblings: Sharon (Logan) McAnally, Littleton, CO; Kimberly Hawley, Orem; Jon (Kim) Hawley and Jeff (Lindsey) Hawley, both of American Fork; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Cleone Hawley and Raymond and Maxine Nielson.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Sevier Valley Medical Center with a special thanks to Dr. Daniel Smith and his staff.
