Tommy Dean Ricketts, 52, of Las Vegas, passed away August 9, 2016 at his father’s home in Antimony, Utah, where he had been caring for his dad. He was born on January 26, 1964 in Boulder City, Nevada to Max Thomas and Carolyn Jean Curtis Ricketts. He married Charla Ann Brindley on November 26, 1988 in Antimony. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Las Vegas LDS Temple on March 25, 1990.

Tommy was a member of the LDS Church where he worked in the scouting program for many years. He attended Rancho High School in Las Vegas and Enterprise High School in Utah. Tommy worked as Sr. Carpenter for the city of Las Vegas and as the Las Vegas City Employees Association (LVCEA) president. He served as the local and national president for the Working Association of Government Employees (WAGE). Tommy loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, looking for unique rocks, camping and off-roading. He loved his wife and children and loved spending time with them. He was very outgoing and made many friends.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Charla, Las Vegas, NV; children: Kristan Ricketts, Las Vegas, NV; Chy Anne (Andrew) Hafen, Hurricane, UT; Tulsa (Brian) Severin, Las Vegas, NV; Beau Ricketts, Minot, ND; Blade Ricketts, Las Vegas, NV; father, Max Ricketts, Antimony, UT; grandson, Xavier; sisters, RosaLee (Aaron) Moody, Beryl, UT; step-sister, Sherry Ebarb, Las Vegas, NV; step-brother: Frank (Marie) Fausset, Las Vegas, NV. Preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Ricketts; and step-mother, Patricia Ricketts.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Eldorado Estates LDS Ward Chapel, 5975 Clayton Street, North Las Vegas, NV, where friends may call from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Antimony, Utah Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the burial at the Antimony LDS Ward Chapel from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
