Bud Sessions
1938 - 2017
Thomas Edward Sessions Jr, "Bud", 78, passed away June 23, 2017 in Monroe. He was born November 5, 1938 in Elsinore to Thomas Edward and Bernice Crosland Sessions. He married Cindy Christine Wilson on August 9, 1980.
Bud served in the US Navy, he loved gardening, hunting and camping. After his term with the military, he worked at the Phillips 66 gas station on the north end of Richfield’s old Highway 89 for a few years. Most recently, he drove over the road for Matheson Trucking where he received countless awards for safe driving, including an award for one million miles accident free.
He is survived by his wife of Monroe; children: Russell (Karen) Sessions, Santaquin; Julie Sessions, Saratoga Springs; Kendra Wilson, Grantsville; Lori (Skyler) McCurdy, Monroe; six grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; siblings, Judy (Scott) Anderson, Mary Ann (Jay) Nielson, Roy (Elaine) Sessions, Ted Sessions, Stan (Becky) Sessions.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
As to Bud’s request, cremation services have taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel with graveside services to follow in the Richfield City Cemetery where military honors will be provided by the V.F.W. Sevier Post #5050. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
