Thelma Jean Hixon Keisel, 78, of Orem, formerly of Ephraim, passed away on January 5, 2012. Thelma was born August 11, 1933 in Oak Creek, Colorado, to Charles Buster and Alene Cassingham Hixon. She had two younger brothers, George (Claudett) and Charles (Josie) Hixon.
Thelma married Jack D. Keisel on March 20, 1953. Together they raised three children and one granddaughter: Jack (Dorothy) Keisel of Ephraim; Valerie (John) Windward of Kerns; Charles (Shelly) Keisel of Monroe, WA; and Stephanie (Eric) Loader of Payson.
Thelma loved the outdoors, she liked to go camping, fishing and on occasion went on hunts with her husband Jack. Thelma loved and cherished her children and grandchildren. She was a loving and caring wife and provider, she always thought of others before herself. This was one of her many redeeming qualities. Thelma will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. She leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and in-laws. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother, George.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ephraim 7 th Ward Chapel, 400 East Center. Friends and family may call at the Church prior to services on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Ephraim Park Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
