Ted Lee Hansen

August 23, 1937 — February 19, 2022

Ted Lee Hansen
Richfield, Utah

Lifetime Richfield resident, Ted Lee Hansen, 84, passed away on February 19, 2022 in Provo. Ted Lee was born on August 23, 1937 to Teddie Carlos and Vera Jepsen Hansen in Richfield, UT. He married his sweetheart, Linda Lou Peterson, on June 6, 1958. They were sealed in the Manti Temple January 22, 1963.

Ted Lee was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed serving in various callings throughout his life. He had a deep and abiding faith in his Savior. He retired from the Utah Army National Guard after serving our country for 31 years. He was a member of  the Sevier County Search and Rescue (Jeep Posse) where he enjoyed the association of those with whom he served.

Professionally Ted Lee worked as a carpenter before beginning his 51-year career with Central Electric Supply Co. He was active in service to his church, country and community.

Nothing was more important to Ted Lee than his family. He lived for every moment spent with family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing with those he loved. He loved attending kids’ and grandkids’ and great grandkids’ church events, athletic and artistic performances, marriages and any other important day for them. No distance was too far for him to travel to support his family.

For over 63 years he stood faithfully at the side of his sweetheart and eternal companion Linda. As a couple, they were a model of Christlike parents and every member of their family knew of their devotion to each other. In life they were always together and in death they will not be separated.

He is survived by his beloved wife of over 63 years, Linda Lou; his seven children: Sherri (Roger) Christensen, Richfield; Annette (Kirk) Bredsguard, Central Valley; Janalee (Eric) Luke, Ferron; Karen (Greg) Denning, South Jordan; Christopher Ted (Shannon) Hansen, Monroe; Brian Curt (Debbie) Hansen, Gilbert, AZ; Bradley John (Jessica) Hansen, Moroni; 26 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; brother, Carlos (Carol) Hansen, West Valley City.
