Tanner was born August 11, 1991 in Gunnison to Rick and Karen Kemmis Poulson. He was the baby of the family and was adored by his older siblings.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and love the principles it taught him and the character it helped him develop. Tanner had a love for all animals, especially snakes and reptiles. This was a passion he shared with his mom. Throughout his youth, you could find his room filled with terrariums full of lizards, frogs and snakes. He had a passion and natural talent for art and creating. His love for Legos started as a child and grew into adulthood. He recently began creating Lego mosaic masterpieces and sold his designs online.
As a young teen Tanner and his friends organized the first parkour class in the area with George and Janet Siggins at G&J Gym. He was very passionate about the sport. It helped him develop many leadership skills as he helped train others, especially young children.
Since high school he has worked for Chrysalis helping mentally challenged adults. He fell in love with those individuals, giving him a desire to obtain further education and receive a Master of Arts degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis and he was recently working with them as a behavioral analyst.
He was few with words but big with action. He was the most supportive son, brother, uncle. His nieces and nephews were the world to him. They absolutely adored their Uncle Tanner.
He had such a tender heart towards all people, always stood up for the underdog. He left this world a better place for having been in it and will be greatly missed.
