Tamara June Hosteenez returned to her Heavenly Father on December 6, 2024. She was born on December 14, 1951 in Brigham City to Harry Jensen and June Lloyd Newman. She is the sister to Michael James, Linda Susan, Julie Marie, Edwin Lloyd, Jeanne Ruth, Stephen Ray and Vickie Ann.

Tamara married Robert Hosteenez, who was the love of her life. They spent many wonderful years together. She adored her daughter, Tracy Ann who was her rock and best friend. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were such happiness to her and she couldn’t think of anything better than being with them. Family was everything to her and she loved them all fiercely.

She worked at Maverik and was there for 10 years. She loved visiting with the customers and knew many by name. She was a hard worker and put her all into everything that she did.

Tamara loved the outdoors and going on the mountain to have picnics. Drawing was her passion and she was amazing at it. She loved going to the temple. The Manti Temple holds a very near and dear spot in her heart.

Tamara is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Jensen and June Lloyd Newman; son-in-law, David “Gus” Nielsen, and siblings, Jeanne Ruth Blake, Stephen Ray Newman and Vickie Ann Newman.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the Annabella 1st Ward Chapel. There will be a viewing Thursday evening at Magleby Mortuary from 6 - 7:30 pm and on Friday morning prior to services from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. Burial will be in the Monroe Cemetery.
