Talmage S Anderson, 96, of Central Valley, passed peacefully away June 9, 2012, in Richfield. He was born June 7, 1916, in Inverury (now known as Central Valley) Utah, to Soren Andersen and Christine Marie Sorensen. He was the tenth of eleven children. He graduated from South Sevier High School in 1934. He worked on the family farm until he entered military service on November 29, 1942 with the 351st Infantry Reg, 88 Infantry Division. He was wounded May 12, 1944, near Santa Maria Infante, Italy. Upon returning from the war he pursued the peaceful occupation of farming. He married Sylvia Mary Hopkins Larsen, November 4, 1949. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple December 6, 1954. She preceded him in death on July 7, 2009.
Talmage was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in numerous callings. Dad was an easy going man who would do anything for anyone. He loved serving others. He loved spending time in his trailer at Fish Lake during the summers.
He is survived by his children, Geraldine (Earl) Williams, Orem; Michael (Jody) Anderson, Sandy; Kathleen (Charles) Hawley, Central Valley; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia; parents; siblings, Rhoda, Syril, Rueben, Ruth, Naomi, Ernest, Dorothy, Helen, Luzon, Donna and their spouses.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Central LDS Ward Chapel, in Annabella. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Annabella on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
