Steven Keith Nielson, 67, avid hunter, golfer and all around great guy, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2015 surrounded by his family in St. George from causes of a lingering illness.
He was born August 27, 1947 in Richfield to Keith George and Emma Jane Emmett Nielson. He married Jillene Gardner, April 25, 1970 in Richfield.
He was a devoted family man, he always placed their needs above his own. He loved spending time in his yard and taking care of his gardens. Steve worked as a miner at SUFCO, retiring after 33 years.
Steve is survived by his wife, Jill of Richfield; children, Marci (J.J.) Allred of Hurricane, Logan (Teasha) Nielson of Richfield; grandchildren, Karlee, Maizee, Ryder, Ryver, Sierra, Madison, Emma; mother, Jane and brother, Bryce (Janis) Nielson, both of Central Valley; sister, Bonnie (George) Martin of Midway. He is preceded in death by his father, Keith; children, Alicyn and Jared Steven.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, where friends may call on Friday evening from 6 to 8 or on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
