Stella Marie Peterson Larsen, 86, of Redmond, passed away July 3, 2013 in Gunnison. She was born February 5, 1927 in Roosevelt to Earl and Aleen Larsen Peterson. She married Elwood M. Larsen June 28, 1946 in Axtell, UT. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple June 1964. He preceded her in death July 4, 1988.
Stella was a homemaker. She loved cooking, fishing and camping. Her pride and joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and working in her flowers.
Stella is survived by her children: Shirlene (David) Christensen, Centerfield; Kent (Beverly) Larsen, Aurora; Karen (Eldon) Dickinson, Salt Lake City; and Carolyn (Dennis) Baxter, Redmond; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; sisters: Lila Peterson, Salt Lake City and Loretta Willardson, Redmond.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Buelah Talboe; brothers, Roger and Paules Peterson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Redmond 1 st Ward Chapel, 310 West 100 North, where friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Redmond Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
