Steinunn Guthnadottir Blevins,74, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with her lord on May 7, 2012. Steinunn was born to Guthni Thorfinnsson and Rosa Thorsteinsdottir on June 10, 1935 in Reykjavik Iceland. She was raised in Iceland and attended higher education in England.

In 1962 she met her husband to be, John Blevins Jr. and they married in Basle, Switzerland in 1965. John and Steinunn raised two sons, Robert Haroldsson and John Blevins, while traveling around the globe to finally settle in Barstow California in 1973. She was proud of her US citizenship she attained in 1980.

She was a wonderful homemaker and loving mother; lovingly accepting her step-daughter, Lucie Brownson, which she met in 1985.

After retirement in 1991 John and Steinunn moved to Panguitch Utah. She joined the quilting ladies and created wonderful quilts.

She is survived by children: Robert (Debra) Haroldsson of California, John (Marnie) Blevins of Utah; step-daughter, Lucille (Shawn) Brownson of Maryland; sister Gerther (Sveinn) Guthnadottir of Iceland; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; numerous step brothers and step sisters in Iceland.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband John.

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Panguitch Stake Center, 550 South 100 West. Additional services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Barstow First Church of the Nazarene, 1041 Mount Vernon St., Barstow. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
