Stanley Kay Goold, 86, passed away August 26, 2021 at his home in Monroe. He was born January 21, 1935 in Monroe to Lee Asay and Maurine Robinson Goold. He married Gay Jenks on August 20, 1958; later divorced. He married the love of his life, Thelma Rae Field on July 16, 1990 in Kenai, Alaska. The marriage was solemnized on January 19, 1991 in the Salt Lake Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Rae; children: Julie Ledesma, Kerri Neilson, Leslie Penrose, Joni Goold, Marci Nau, Mark Goold, Lori Tolman; Rae’s children: Allen Geisler, Gary Geisler, Michelle Stephens, Steve Geisler, Dan Geisler and Cody Geisler; 49 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, soon to be 18; siblings: Robert Goold, Deanna Stanny, Carole Leishman, Sherie Smith.
Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mellodee Goold; grandson, Cameron Penrose; sister, Connie Jean Goold.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Monroe 1st Ward chapel, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
