Stanley Bert Ashby, passed away July 25, 2024 at the age of 83 at his daughter’s home in Kanab, after a short struggle with cancer. He was born December 29, 1940 to Wilford Lyman Ashby and Ivy Gertrude Christensen. He married Linda Lu Hendrickson December 16, 1988 in Salt Lake City, solemnized in the Jordan River temple May 19, 2001. She preceded him in death on December 27, 2020.

Stan was an exemplary father to not only his children, but to many others throughout his life. Stan’s kindness and positive attitude touched the hearts of all those he built relationships with at church, work and everyday encounters.

 Stan was sharp witted and had a wonderful sense of humor. He excelled in every career path he chose. 

Stan is survived by children: Jerald Ashby, Mary Lee Moore, Karl (Susan) Ashby, Pamela (Mike) Campbell, Randall Ashby, Barry (Wendi) Christensen and John Christensen; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield. Viewing at the mortuary from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
