Stanley G Asay, 73, passed away January 17, 2019 at his home in Monroe. He was born July 28, 1945 in Richfield to Joseph Glen and Ila McClellan Asay. He married Arva Dawn Manwill October 10, 1964 in Richfield. The marriage was solemnized May 16, 1966 in the Los Angeles Temple. They later divorced.
Dad loved hunting fishing and camping with his family. He always looked forward to spending time with the ones he loved. He was known for his green thumb and how beautiful his yard always was.
Always a hard worker, we never went without. Dad was the best mechanic around. People always knew that if they needed help with their vehicle, they could always count on him.
He will be missed by so many and loved by all.
Survived by his children: Scott (Sona) Asay, Las Vegas,NV; Troy Asay, Richfield; Sheli Dawn (Shane) Yergensen, Elsinore; Crista (Duane) Gerety, Las Vegas, NV; Tyler (Chandee) Asay, Bosie, ID; son-in-law, Elmer Giles, Richfield; 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; siblings: Bonnie (Ray) Campbell, Sandy; Steve (Beverly) Asay, West Valley; Tex (Susann) Asay, Cedar City; Shane Asay, New Mexico.
Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tanya Giles; granddaughter, Shaleysa Tielle Asay.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel. Where friends may call on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Magleby Mortuary or Tuesday morning from 9:30- 10:30. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
