Sherolyn Langston
Richfield, Utah
Sherolyn Jensen Langston, 74, of Richfield, passed away peacefully October 18, 2023, in Monroe, with her husband and family at her side, following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. She returned home to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father and her beloved parents. Sherolyn was born June 29, 1949, in Gunnison to Michael Dale and Maurine Anderson Jensen. She was the oldest of six children–five sisters, and the youngest a brother. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
After graduating from Stevens-Henager Business College, Sherolyn returned home and married Stanley Morrill. She was employed at Sevier Valley Hospital as the administrative secretary where she was respected and loved. After several years of marriage, they were blessed with a baby. She quit her job to raise their son, but things didn’t work out. They later divorced. Now a single parent, Sherolyn went to work for Garkane Power where she made many lifelong friends and retired nearly 35 years later. Her dedication to hard work was an inspiration to those around her. In 1984, she married Eric Langston adding his children to her family, which she loved as her own. Through the years, they enjoyed many family camping trips creating treasured memories. Sherolyn and Eric loved the great outdoors. They enjoyed trucking, trips to the ranch, summers at Fish Lake, motorcycle rides to Colorado and Boulder Mountain, and side-by-side adventures with close friends.
Sherolyn was pleasant, kind and genuinely concerned about people. She cherished the simple things in life, always putting others before herself. She was gifted and blessed with amazing penmanship. Through the years, she made beautiful signs displayed all over town, for businesses, church, work, Christmas Tree Lane, etc. She was a great cook making yummy breadsticks, popcorn balls, dipped chocolates, and delicious meals for all to enjoy. She was also an excellent seamstress sewing clothes, wedding dresses, pieced quilts, blankets, baby towels and more. She found joy in serving.
Sherolyn faced many challenges, but never complained. She learned to do hard things well with a smile on her face. You could always count on Sherolyn for help supporting family and friends–a true example of Christ-like love.
She enjoyed her involvement in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She cherished her membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings, including: Primary president, a ward and stake Relief Society counselor, Relief Society counselor at the jail, Young Women’s counselor, teacher, and ministering sister. Sherolyn will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love for the temple and for family. Her presence will be greatly missed, but her legacy of love will forever endure in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
