Sheldon Carl Watts, 90, died on Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Marana, AZ, of complications arising from a broken hip. He was born May 6,1922 in McCammon, ID, second son of Ethel Ione Mellor and Earnest William Watts. He married Madge Marks on June 3,1943. She preceded him in death October 28, 2007.

Sheldon served in the Army Air Corp during World War II and retained a life-long interest in flying. He taught many to fly and he flew as a fire spotter for the Forest Service for years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving, as bishop of the Wallace, ID Ward and for many years as a worker in the Manti Temple.

He is survived by children: Carol Daniels, Linda Hopkins, Sherrie Guiles, Scott Watts, Nancy Rutherford, and Jody Watts.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 12:00 Noon in the Fayette LDS Ward Chapel. Burial will be in the Fayette Cemetery with military rites by the Gunnison American Legion Post #104 and Utah Honor Guard. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
