Mother, daughter, sister, aunt, best friend, Shaylla Destiny "Lala" Mortensen, 24, passed away November 8, 2019 in Salina. She was born October 2, 1995 in West Jordan to Mark Troy Mortensen and Kathleen Williams Mortensen.

With a most contagious laugh, Shaylla was the life of every gathering. When she laughed, you knew you were in good company. Her laugh was more than just contagious, it was memorable and will echo on in our memories of her forever.

Shaylla loved her boys more than anything. She was her happiest when she was with them.

Survived by her sons: Rayden Mark Barker and Lyem William Barker; her parents; siblings: Austin (Shiann) Mortensen, Aurora; Casey (Lexi) Mortensen, Aubrey, TX; Breanna (Patrick) Juday, Billings, MT; Kyler Mortensen, Aurora; Ashton Mortensen, Taylorsville; grandparents: Ray and Shirley Wallberg. Preceded in death by grandparents: Jack and Hartence Dalton, Hugh Alton Mortensen, Douglas Howard Williams.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Aurora 1st Ward Chapel, 85 North Main, Aurora, where friends may call Thursday evening from 6-7 p.m. or Friday morning from 9 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Redmond Cemetery.
