Shawn Lynn Peterson, our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather. Passed away September 15, 2019 from multiple organ failure at 48 years old. Born December 19, 1970 in Richfield at Sevier Valley Hospital. His loving parents Fred and Alice Peterson raised him, the middle son, and 5 brothers: Blake, Glen, John, Shane, and Jared in Joseph, Utah. He married the love of his life Meredith Hansen on March 2, 1990. They had 4 wonderful children: Nick, Bracken, Natasha, and Brylee. They later divorced in 2006, but Shawn always kept a special place in his heart and never stopped loving Meredith. He loved anything to do with trucks and cars, dirty jokes, and adventures. Always ready for a good hike in beautiful scenery. A jack-of-all trades when it came to helping his children. Always the loving father he could transform into a teacher, mechanic, framer, plumber, or electrician at a moments notice. Spending time with his 6 grandkids was a challenge that he always gladly accepted. A part-time artist, he enjoyed creating beautiful artwork with an eye for seeing the beauty in things that others overlooked. He battled with alcoholism, where it would ultimately claim his life. Shawn was the kind soul that would move heaven and earth to help someone, even when he was struggling himself. He had a big heart and a great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed and thought of often.
