Shauna Steffensen Christenson, 64, beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, died on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in her home in Gunnison, surrounded by family after a brave battle with ALS. She was born June 14, 1952 in Salt Lake City to Eldan W. and Ella Mackay Steffensen. She was raised on a small family farm in Bennion, UT. She loved to play outside with her brothers and her best friend, Leanna.
Shauna has always been adventurous. She loved the outdoors, flowers, gardening, and especially loved playing with her grandchildren.
On August 26, 1995, Shauna married the love of her life, Tim Christenson in Salt Lake City. Together they shared their love for each other and the outdoors and had many adventures.
Shauna is survived by her husband and her mother; children: Kelli Jacobsen and fiancè, Steve Cornell, Sherilyn and Nathan King, Dawnelle Harris and Chris Noel, Larry Clark, Paul and Michelle Christenson, Kirk and Mandy Christenson; 16 grandchildren; siblings: Lois, Meralda, Loyd, Boyd, Steve, Chris, Mary, Kraig, JoAnn, John, Ted and Donald.
She is preceded in death by her father; brother, Gene.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Gunnison LDS Stake Center, 80 West Center, where friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. or Saturday from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery.
