Sharon Louise Godfrey went home to be with the Lord on April 1, 2016. Sharon was born September 27, 1942 in Bridgeton, New Jersey and was raised there before moving to her beloved state, Utah. Shortly after moving she met and married Norman Godfrey of Ogden/Salt Lake City, Utah on April 3, 1966 in Elko, NV.
Sharon worked as a telephone operator in Philadelphia, PA as a young woman and at ZCMI after arriving in Utah. Her life work was raising her five children. Sharon had several hobbies that included; Gardening, canning, home decorating, cooking, baking, crocheting, sewing and craft making. She loved solitaire, family board gaming and was an avid reader. She cared for animals, owning horses, chickens, dogs, cats and goats. She was a member of the Ephraim Church of the Bible.
She is survived by her husband, Norman W Godfrey; children, Jennifer, Merridith, Jared, Randall and Chandler. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and her siblings, Barbara, Delores, Robert and Dennis. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Lubonski.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ephraim Church of the Bible, 400 South 400 East. Friends may call prior to services starting at 12:00 noon.
