Our beloved son, brother, uncle and grandson, Seth Alan Gurney, age 26, passed away November 6, 2012 in Lost Creek, Utah. He was born January 24, 1986 in Richfield to Alan and Vicki Willardsen Gurney.

Seth was a graduate of North Sevier High School Class of 2004. He was a high school state champion team roper and was a member of the Utah State High School Rodeo National Champion Team. He was the FFA Chapter President and an American Farmer.

Seth’s passion in life was team roping. He was a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association since 2004. Team roping provided him with many opportunities to travel and left him with many friends across the country. Seth was a successful cattle rancher and a genuine authentic cowboy. He had piercing blue eyes and a smile that lit up the room, a kind word for everyone and made a friend out of all that he met. Seth enjoyed spending time with his family, and he especially loved being an uncle and shared a very special bond with his nephews, Bentley and Oliver. Survived by his parents, Alan and Vicki, Lost Creek; sister, Kristin (Alex), Redmond; brothers: Dustin, Venice; and Tait, Lost Creek; nephews: Bentley and Oliver; grandparents: Chris Willardsen, Helene Willardsen and Ken and Jan Gurney; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 12, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at the Salina LDS Stake Center, at 98 West 400 North. Friends may call at the stake center in Salina Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
