Sena P Nicholls, 91, of Manti, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Community Living Center in Centerfield, UT. Sena was born February 8, 1921 in Gunnison, UT to Niels C & Elleve Bach Petersen.
Sena was raised and educated in Manti and as a young girl helped care for her family. Sena worked for a short while in Nevada but returned home to be with her family. She married Clair Dale Nicholls in Manti on September 8, 1941. While raising her family Sena worked at various places including the turkey plant, Carlisle Manufacturing and Pacific Trails. She was a great cook and loved doing crafts and canning fruits and vegetables.
She is survived by her children: Tom (Linda) Nicholls, Ephraim; John D. (Florence) Nicholls, Pacific Grove, CA; Sam Nicholls, Hinckley and Molly (Clay) Hood, Ravensdale, WA. Sena is also survived by siblings: Robert B. Petersen, Thomas B. Petersen and Arvid B. Petersen; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Sena was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters, seven brothers and one grandson.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Manti City Cemtery.
