Saundra Mae Hansen Eccles, 79, passed away August 21, 2017 at her home in Monroe, surrounded by family. She was born May 21, 1938 in Logan to Dwight Emil and Mabel Hawkins Hansen. She married Grant Andrew Eccles on October 2, 1957 in Fielding, Utah. The marriage was solemnized March 19, 1960 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.

An accomplished pianist, Saundra used her talents to bless others at church and other social functions. She taught piano, and enjoyed music all her life. The grandchildren loved Grandma’s "game bag" and enjoyed many hours playing games with her. They also remember her famous pumpkin cookies. We will miss her spunky personality.

Saundra was active in the LDS Church all of her life and served faithfully wherever she was called. She enjoyed helping the missionaries wherever she lived. She will be missed greatly.

She is survived by her husband, Grant; children: Mary Jo (George) Judd, Monroe; Gary Lynn (Miranda) Eccles, Sandy; Carrie Jill Chamberlain, Sparks, NV; Kevin Grant Eccles, Fernley, NV; Susan Marie Mills, Kansas City, MO; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Dwight (Joan) Hansen, Fielding.

Preceded in death by parents, Dwight and Mabel; sisters: Mabel and Mary Ann.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Monroe Stake Center, 140 South Main. Friends may call Thursday evening at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield from 6-8 p.m. and Friday at the stake center in Monroe from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be Saturday, August 26, at 1:00 p.m. in the Brigham City Cemetery.
