Ryan Buchanan

Central Valley, Utah

Ryan Sheldon Buchanan, 46, passed away April 8, 2017 in Richfield. He was born November 25, 1970 in Richfield to Sheldon Ralph and Lynnette Jean Jolley Buchanan. He married Jennifer Rogers on October 14, 2000 in Venice.

Ryan loved his wife, kids and cows more than anything. He took the kids to the farm almost every day to spend time with them and to teach them the value of hard work.

Another important thing in his life was working cattle and the land with his wife, Jen; son, Riley; parents, Sheldon and Lynnette; his sister, Shelly and brothers, Brock and Brett, also Uncle Rocky and his friends, Chad and Adam.

Ryan worked for the Sevier County Road Department for 14 years where he got to do what he loved and made many friends.

Anyone who knew Ryan, knows of the teasing streak. His nieces, nephews, siblings and friends were the brunt of his episodes. In spite of all the teasing, they adored him.

Once you were a friend of Ryan’s, you were a friend for life. His death leaves a hole in everyone’s heart. Ryan will forever be our "KEYSTONE COWBOY."

He is survived by his wife; children: Riley Clark Buchanan, and Brinley Lynn Buchanan, all of Central Valley; his parents of Venice; siblings: Shelly (Mario) Reier-Aguirre, Livermore, CA; Brett Buchanan, Monroe; Brock (Kellie) Buchanan, Richfield; grandmother, Lois Pearson Jolley, Richfield; and mother-in-law, Frankie Penney Powell, Central Valley.

Preceded in death by grandparents: Ralph & Deane Despain Buchanan; Dee Leon Jolley; father-in-law, J Clark Rogers.
