Ruth Orlean Stoddard Wilson, 89, passed away February 21, 2025 at her home in Central Valley. She was born May 25, 1935 in Consumers, Utah to Ren and Clover Erickson Stoddard.
Ruth was raised in Consumers at the family coal mine — a coal miner’s daughter. She attended grade school at Columbus in Salt Lake. She attended high school at North Emery in Huntington where she met the love of her life, Max Wilson. They were married on May 23, 1953.
After her six children were raised, Ruth went to work for the Granite School District for 25 years as a teachers aide. She loved family, camping, cooking and mostly her grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and was loved by everyone who met her.
She is survived by her husband, Max; children: Angela Keele, Doyle (Joyce) Wilson, Marty Wilson, Shirley (Cody) Anderson, Wade (Mindy) Wilson; daughter-in-law, Cindy (Wayne) Hoppal; 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Wilson; granddaughter, Tera Givan.
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 in the Monroe Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Viewing at 11:00 - 12:30 at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
