Rose Marie Ritterbush, "Busia", passed away at home in Kingston, Utah on May 16, 2016 at 7:15 pm. Rose was born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, June 25, 1928. She was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Karasinski. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Joe Karasinski and husband Bill Ritterbush. Rose has requested her cremated remains be placed in the ocean which she loved.
Rose was a member of the Piute County Senior Citizens Board. She enjoyed senior bus trips, playing Bunco bi-monthly in Circleville, Junction and Kingston with family and close friends. She attended St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church in Panguitch and was an avid Yahtzee player, enjoying the title of "Yahtzee Queen". During her life she loved family, traveling, water skiing, tropical beaches, Polish polka dancing and was a long time Elvis Presley and Jimmy Buffett fan/memorabilia collector.
Rose is survived by the following family members (of whom she was very proud): daughter, Mary Lou Richards, granddaughter, Jody, husband Leonard and great grandchildren: Kiana, Elijah and Jenna Van Zanten of California; a sister Bernice and husband John Filarey and a niece, Renee Leach of Junction, UT; 2 nieces and a nephew: Jan Perdew, Candy Brody and Race Filarey of CA; a goddaughter Linda and husband Joe Morgan of CA; and above and beyond neighbors, Carlos and Liz Jessen.
A celebration of life honoring Rose will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm (on what would have been Rose’s 88 th birthday) in the Kingston Town Hall, 50 West 100 South, Kingston, UT. Lunch will be provided for this "Celebration of Life" by the Circleville 2 nd Ward Relief Society. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
