Roscoe Bert Tuft, 92, passed away on June 8, 2014 in Orangeville, Utah. He was born on August 13, 1921 in Leslie, Idaho to Lora Lisonbee and Olaf LeRoy Tuft. He grew up in Centerfield and Monroe, Utah, graduating from South Sevier High School and earned his Accounting Degree from Branch Agricultural College in Cedar City and then University of Utah. In 1939, he joined the National Guard 222 Field Artillery to help pay for college. After Pearl Harbor, he joined the Army Air Corps and became a pilot, ending his service after the end of the war in 1946 as a 1 st Lieutenant.

He married Elinor Chamberlain on July 10, 1942 Olympia, Washington. He started his accounting career at the Richfield Feed and Grain and went on to establish a successful accounting practice in Richfield. They settled in Monroe to raise a houseful of kids: Roscoe LeRoy (Joyce) Tuft, St. George; Rhea Tuft, Cedar City; Bert Tuft (Mickie) Aurora; Claudia (Doug) Anderson, Sandy; Janice (Randy) Winn, Orangeville; and Ralph (Connie) Tuft, Magnolia, TX. Roscoe and Elinor were married for 53 years until her death in 1995.

Roscoe was an honest, hard-working man and a loyal friend. He was willing to offer a helping hand to anyone, because it was the right thing to do. He always said, "Go and do what you want to do, don’t let life pass you by." He loved his grandkids and provided them with many exciting adventures from flying kites, sledding in Monroe Canyon, or simply hiking to the "desert" at the end of the block.

Roscoe is survived by five children; 27 grandchildren and many great- grandchildren; sister, Maurine (Dean) Portz, Tulsa, OK.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his son Bert, five brothers and three sisters.
