Ronald Clair Brown, 80, passed away on March 5, 2014 in Wenatchee, Washington. Ron was born April 26, 1933 in Annabella, to Cyril "Dee" and Eva Christiansen Brown. He married Patricia Ann Fairbanks in 1971, his best friend and the love of his life.

Ron attended Ogden High School, graduating in 1951. He attended Weber State College in Ogden, Utah and Utah State University in Logan, Utah and subsequently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1962. He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1951 and was honorably discharged for his service in 1958. Ron worked for the civil service for 30 years, and retired in 1994.

Ron liked searching for artifacts and dealt in antiquities later in life. He had businesses in Fresno, California, Wenatchee, Washington and Ogden, Utah.

Ron enjoyed many interests during his lifetime including gardening and reading. He played golf and liked spectator sports such as basketball, football and hockey.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann; children: Jeff (Annette) Christensen, Greg (Susan) Christensen, Cary (Karen) Christensen, and Kirby Brown; grandchildren: Savannah, Danielle, Matthew, Haley, Kristopher, and James; and great-grandchildren Jaeden, Philip, Lila, and Rosalie; and sister Mona Lou.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents and brother Maurell.

Ron said his greatest joy in this life was his family and he will be missed for his sense of gratitude, humor and fine example to those around him.

Graveside services and interment will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Marysvale Utah Cemetery with military rites by the VFW Piute Post #7561. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
