Roland Fred Hansen, 75, of Monroe, Utah, our loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away January 17, 2014, in Richfield, Utah. He was born October 12, 1938, in Monroe, Utah, to Albert Roland and Elva Johnson Hansen.
He married Mable Sue Troutt, April 16, 1960 in Marysvale, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, April 21, 1962.
He is survived by his wife, Sue of Monroe; children, Sheila Sue (Brad) Lewis, Cedar City; Wendy Murrell (Scott) Parsons, Monroe; Amber Elva (Gregory) Somjen, Succasunna, NJ; Heather Bonnie (B.J.) Peterson, Monroe; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Kirby Parker
Preceded in death by parents; sister, Bonnie Parker
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. in the Monroe 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 49 E. 200 N. Friends may call at the Ward Chapel in Monroe on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Magleby Mortuary Richfield, Salina and Manti.
The family would like to thank the staff at Stonehenge and Sevier Valley Hospital for all the loving care of Roland and the kind consideration of the family.
