Roger Leo Peterson, 86, passed away September 23, 2018. He was born March 10, 1932 in Manti to Leo William and Hazel Christiansen Peterson. He was raised in Glenwood and went to school in Glenwood and Richfield.

Roger married Rosalie Lund in 1953, They had 5 children. Later divorced. He married Lucy Rasmussen who preceded him in death. He married Charlene Beutler Gledhill, who also preceded him in death.

He loved being on the Monroe mountain at his cabin. He spent his life working for Boyles Brothers Drilling Company retiring after 40 years, working all over the west, including Nevada, Arizona and California.

He is survived by his children: Julia (Jimmy) Summers, Powell, WY; Bonnie (Warren) Archer, Salt Lake City; Kathryn Peterson, Cody, WY; Katie Peterson, Marysvale; Rulon (Lauri) Peterson, Monroe; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sisters: Karmen Buchanan, Venice; RaNee (Arno) Jensen, Centerfield, Pam (Larry) Gay, Joseph.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson; brother-in-law, Wood Buchanan.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m in the Richfield East Stake Center, 500 East 800 North. Friends may call Thursday evening at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield, from 6 - 8 p.m. or Friday morning at the stake center from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.
