Roger Ogden

Roger Thomas Ogden passed away November 29, 2017 at his home in Sigurd. He was born December 15, 1937 in Richfield, Utah to William Thomas Ogden Jr. and Relva Geneva Meacham. He married Jeanne Wanda Banks September 7, 1961 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Roger graduated from Richfield High School, and went on to college graduating from BYU in 1966 with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Husbandry and Agricultural Economics.
He served an LDS mission to the Western States Mission 1958-1960 and a second mission with his wife to the Brazil, Rio de Janeiro Mission 2006 - 2008, and a service mission in the Utah, St George Mission 2015-2017. Roger and Jeanne also served as ward and stake young single adult advisors 2008-2015.
He served in the Army National Guard for 25 years, retiring as a Staff Sergeant. He received the Chief’s 50 Award for the Montana National Guard.
He served in the Boy Scouts for over 50 years earning the Silver Beaver Award among many other awards.
He loved fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sigurd Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 or on Monday morning at the Sigurd Ward chapel from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Vermillion Cemetery.
