Roberta LeFevre

Monroe, Utah

Roberta Norris LeFevre, 77, was born August 6, 1940 in Walla Walla Washington to Vernon Norris and Edna Gooding. Roberta died May 31, 2018 in Richfield, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer that spread to her brain. She kept a positive attitude always having a smile on her face.

Roberta was married at age 16. She had daughters Lorraine and Debbie. At age 18 she had 2 young daughters and was abandoned by her husband. For many years life was difficult. She suffered great hardships and disappointments. She struggled and sacrificed much to raise these young daughters by working two and three jobs to support herself and her daughters. She was a very hard honest worker with great integrity.

Roberta loved reading books, going to movies, shopping, and baking all types of cookies, candies, breads and pies.

Roberta met Sharon Williams when Sharon came to visit her as a visiting teacher. They became best friends. Sharon helped the missionaries teach her the gospel. As a result of Sharon’s ministering, Roberta was baptized and became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in1993. She joyfully served in the church. Sharon’s family became Roberta’s family. In 2005 Sharon’s son-in-law, Lee Esplin, arranged for Roberta to go on a blind date with Walt LeFevre. Walt and Roberta were married October 29, 2005 in the Manti LDS Temple.

Roberta loved canning. She learned to sew pioneer clothing to wear on the many wagon train re-enactments they participated in. She kept an organized and immaculate home. She enjoyed ironing everything including sheets and pillow cases. Roberta loved the mules (Jake and Jessie) and always rode Jessie in the parades. She loved going on wagon trains, camping and just going on rides. She loved cowboy poetry and country music.

Roberta loved her children and grandchildren very much. She also loved Walt’s children and grandchildren. Whenever anyone came to visit she always had worked for a week baking homemade bread, pie, cookies etc.

Roberta is survived by her husband, Walt LeFevre; daughter Debbie Delulio; sister, Peggy (Ted) Ayers; step-children: Dean (Joyce) LeFevre, Margie Aaron, Janet (Kelly) Christiansen, Christy (Brett) Jensen; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving daughter, Lorraine; brother, Charles Norris and many loved ones.
